I bought a alien Dell computer that uses SATA harddrive and have a exotic EIDE one here..what is the easiest way to change it for use? The computer has the harrdrive bay that face the side, so in attendance is no extra room for much.
What is the easiest course to mould an IEDE harddrive for use contained by an SATA computer?
buy an external enclosure which will allow you to use the drive:
http://gamegiants.net/product_info.php?p...
Is this a SATA single motherboard? Most motherboards also have an IDE slot onboard that can also be used.
In most cases, you will not necessitate a 3 1/2 bay for floppy or anything anymore. Take that out. You can also bring a frame to mount another hard drive contained by a 5 1/4 bay. (most cases enjoy at least 2) If they are taken up by an optical drive, you may want to use solitary one multi function drive.
Most mother boards with SATA drives also own an EIDE slot as well. You shouldn't run into any problems.
Otherwise you can bring back an external enclosure apparatus to link your spanking new hard drive to your USB port. Not as hasty as EIDE but you wont have to unseal up your case. (the external enclosers are available anywhere, even best buy)

This is probably a firewire nouns for use with computers. If you hold a Mac, you can use iMovie, for example, to import your video from the camcorder for editing.
You can also output it wager on to tape - the firewire nouns is both ways.
Yes. DV in/out connection is call "iLink" in sony camcorders. It allows you to download the video from your minidvs or digital8 tapes to your laptop, as you were dowloading photos from a digital camera. Also, it let u upload videos from your workstation to your mindv or digital8 tapes.

what is the disadvantages of DVD-ROM?
what is the disadvantages of DVD-ROM?
Vis-a-Vis?
CD-ROMs? - Its Costlier
Can return with scratched -
You gotta be careful of both sides of a dual shroud DVD
Isnt in one and the same league as an HD - can have singular 4.7 Gigs written on each side (max)
Needs a separate player / writer
Cant dream up of anything else.. fantastic VFM proposition
If you mean the DVD-ROM format of DVD's, the drawbacks are that you enjoy to make sure that your DVD players are compatible next to it. It is also not easy to find and is more expensive than other formats.
Compared to what?
CD-ROM? Need more info.
What is the diffrance between Video card and Graphics Crad They look kinda equal?
What is the diffrance between Video card and Graphics Crad They look kinda equal?
they are indistinguishable ..
companies which manufature them are nvidia and ati ..
some people usually refer to built surrounded by chipset on the motherboards as videocards .. and the one inserted into the slots as graphics cards..
They're the same piece. Two terms for one and the same thing. Video card = Graphic card.
No difference, these are basically different terms used to describe indistinguishable thing.
Exactly matching thing - two name for a GPU (Graphics processing unit).
One is called a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and one is call a Visual Processing Unit (VPU) and they are exactly the same entity.
I just have to get fancy!

What is the different between a compact disc writer and and a compact disc burner?
What is the different between a compact disc writer and and a compact disc burner?
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!
Just different name for the same entity..such as laptop and notebook, same thing different words...
nil. cd writer is mostly used in asia and europe/
same point
There is no difference, they both do the same piece, write data to a compact disc
Well.. a disc writer is used for saving facts off adjectives sorts and can be saved directly within for future reference, but the burner allows you to burn data and music, and the music will play contained by other devies, unlike a writer. stick with the burner, cd and dvd burners are best.

What is the differences bettween pen drive, flash drive... etc?
what is the differences bettween
pen drive
flash drive
notes traveler
thumb drive
hard drive
and other 'drives'...
i thought adjectives of the drives are same? ><
can anyone tell me...
What is the differences bettween pen drive, flash drive... etc?
All of those are duplicate things except for the hard drive. The rest use flash memory (where as the firm drive uses a platter and an arm to read/write).
This is like asking what the difference is between French Fries and Fries. It's freshly a name.
..
These are adjectives the same -- USB flash drives. All use flash drive technology(no spinning disk) and adjectives use the USB plug.
The hard drive then again has a much larger dimensions than the flash drives. it has a spinning disk and can contain (so far) up to one million Gb. These also tend to be much larger and more expensive, they are the ones that computers use for the system's disk space.

What is the difference contained by using a USB 2.0 port and an previously one such as USB 1.1 port?
What difference would an upgrade create? Much of a difference or not that much?
Any idea how much something close to that might run??
Thanks.
What is the difference contained by using a USB 2.0 port and an previously one such as USB 1.1 port?
The biggesst difference is transfer speed. Most devices expected for USB 2 will throttle down, but if you are doing something like copying a thorny drive, you will really see it. If you are using a USB dvd player, it likely won't work short USB 2. Upgrade requires a PCI card which runs about 20 to 30 dollars.
from what i kno...on the 2.0...if you enjoy a ipod or other such like that...you can in actual fact charge the battery next to that port...unlike the older ones
and i also believe that more information can be sent faster...or somehthing like that
A USB 2 port is quicker. It's cheap to upgrade, but form sure your system is compatible.
USB 2.0 has faster facts transfer rate than USB 1.1 and most of the upcoming and untried devices are based on USB 2.0
The 2.0 is faster, but what difference it make depends on WHAT you connect with it.
Some things will NOT work next to the slower connection. Others will work next to either at a speed that may not coppers much, and still others may show a significant difference.
The easiest way to upgrade if you hold a desktop PC and a vacant PCI slot is to buy a USB 2.0 append on card and plug it in.
I don't know the current cost, but when I bought mine it be $19.95 and added 4 ports.
