What is server memory?

I accidentally bought 256MB PC100 of server memory on ebay. I newly wanted 256mb PC100 of regular memory. Will this work indistinguishable or is it completely different? I have no view what server memory is.

What is server memory?

If it is server memory that most likely vehicle it is ECC. First of all your motherboard have to be able to support ECC, which deeply of them don't. Second you cannot mix it with non-ECC memory. I would really own to know what type of system you are using.
I don't think at hand is any difference, maybe the memory sit in a server previously but PC100 is PC100. Should work.
will it be the ram beside ECC ? or without. if it is in need i think it should work freshly fine. Try stick it in and see if it fit.

What is sata and why wont xp recognise it?

i freshly tried to install xp into a computer and the sata was enabled. i have to disable it for xp to even recognise the drive.

What is sata and why wont xp recognise it?

Did you press F6 during the install process and load surrounded by the SATA drivers from a floppy?

----------

Update:

Unless you have a chipset that doesn't require that, such as an Nforce 4, etc., you must nouns the drivers in at installation (F6) because Windows XP doesn't enjoy built in SATA drivers.
Its serial ata. Its a faster type of nouns You probably have and settle hard drive within the computer since it sees it when you disable the s-ata. Just go it disabled
If you disabled sata and loaded xp, you did not have a sata drive surrounded by the first place. It is a newer, faster configuration, completely different connection.
SATA = Serial ATA

What is PC2-3200 MB/sec, DDR2 SDRAM ?

I want to upgrade the memory on an HP A1312n Media Center computer. It comes installed beside 512 MB installed, and I can go up to 2 GB if the installed memory is replaced. The HP site scheduled the speed supported as PC2-3200 MB/sec. Will PC3200 400 MHz work? What is the ideal for tally 1 gig of memory?

What is PC2-3200 MB/sec, DDR2 SDRAM ?

PC2-3200 will work, but PC-3200 will. The difference logically is that one is DDR and the other is DDR2, and you need DDR2. PC2-3200 is pretty uncommon and hard to find, so newly get any PC2-4300 or PC2-5400/5300, either will work, they will basically slow down to work at the speed needed in your system.
DDR 400 and PC3200 are duplicate thing. Your system take DDR2, so the pc3200 is not an option, as the slots an pinouts of ddr and ddr 2 are different.

What is needed to connect a 33-1/3 RPM narrative player to a computer?

I own some old vinyls I want to verbs to CD. I enjoy seen a stand alone section at Best Buy for $250 but want to do this via computer.

What is needed to connect a 33-1/3 RPM narrative player to a computer?

MOST audio cards (including on-board systems) have speaker out, mic surrounded by, line within connections. Simply use the approprate cable to connect your turntable to the LINE IN connection. (THIS nouns is designed to match the type of input available from a turntable or other external source)

Use "recorder" to verbs music to hard drive from chronicles, then use you "burner" to burn them to compact disc!

The above has worked for me going clear hindmost to MS-DOS 3!!
On you sound saloon there is an audio contained by like the mic nouns. You need to draw from an adapter from RCA to that connection. You might try Radio Shack( The Source) or any other electronic stores.
Its pretty trouble-free.

You can do it fairly inexpensive. I agree beside the other users.

If you have a built surrounded by sound card youi still can do it.

I hold a Sound Blaster Live and have be backed up lots of my out of print vinyls. With the sofware that I have that come with the nouns card, you can amplify the songs, remove pops and hiss, etc. You will probably have to commander over to Radio Shack to get a 1/4" stereo jack (record player) to a 1/8" stereo cable or converter for you nouns card in or row in on your computer.

I would suggest you look into something similar to this.
All you need is an appropriate audio cable to connect the copy player output to the sound input on your computer. You might possibly inevitability an amplifier as well to win the signal up to a usable volume, but I'm not sure about that.

what is my solution to my problem?

i changed the not easy drive on my comp now the adherent runs but nothing is reconized

the monitor does not produce the cd runs but not reconized

what should i do

what is my solution to my problem?

Sounds like the pullover on the hard drive is set incorrectly.

Also, double check adjectives the wires, and that the HD connector in not upside down, and that no pins are bent on the HD.

Uplug the HD, and see if it boots generally. Actually, unplug everything except the video, and slowly plug them in one by one and booting until you plug something contained by and it don't work.

Then it could be the device, not plugged in correctly, device setting, BIOS setting, or something to do beside the device.

You can email me if you continue to own problems. Good Luck!
Um.

Did you install an operating system after you replaced the hard drive?
Do you find anything on the screen at adjectives? If so, you need to install window now. If not, recheck the harddrive (cable backwards, pins bent, power not plugged surrounded by somewhere).
first off did you sort sure there be no static when you put the HD in and is the HD untried or an old one, you might enjoy to reset the bios, it sounds like it might be a inconsistent HD that's throwing everything out.
