Will a Pata drive work next to ata interface
What is the difference between ATA, PATA and SATA tough drive interface?
PATA & ATA actually refer to alike hard drive interface.
The possession PATA refers to the conventional standard IDE drives.Parallel ATA.
ATA was retroactively renamed Parallel ATA (PATA).

Serial ATA or SATA uses a different interface & controller which provides considerably superior tranfer rates than PATA .300MBps on SATA II.

they are adjectives different technologies for information transfer and SATA mortal the latest and fastest resources of data verbs..
Ata is the standard interface that computers has used for years.sata is what topical computers are using.instead of being the flat cavernous ribbon like cable(ata)it is a small dogmatic cable that is powerful of transferring info faster.I am not familiar near pata...good luck
