what is the difference between a dvd-r and dvd+r?

what is the difference between a dvd-r and dvd+r?

When DVD burners first come out they had unbelievably limited compatibility. You have to get a dvd-r for some and a dvd +r for others. Modern DVD burners should be compatible near all DVD R disks. They usually write it drastically clearly on the box which disks will work.
Price and compatibility. In general +r disks be meant to be more compatible next to drives, but nowadays there's not much contained by it. I've never had a problem next to -r disks being read contained by plenty of machines so i always choose those as they are cheaper.
Not so much difference
