There is no difference, they both do the same piece, write data to a compact disc
Well.. a disc writer is used for saving facts off adjectives sorts and can be saved directly within for future reference, but the burner allows you to burn data and music, and the music will play contained by other devies, unlike a writer. stick with the burner, cd and dvd burners are best.
