what is the difference within cost between an expansion card and a hub that provides 4 more USB ports?Why?
One is internal and one is external. Also, the hub is connecting 4 ports to 1 port so if you enjoy things working at the same time on adjectives 4 ports of the hub, the performance will be decrease, whereas the expansion card will not.
The cost difference is minimal & normally covers the industrial & assembling cost for the enclosure.
The points mentioned by the first respondant are switch as well.
