Memory is the retention of, and cleverness to recall, information, personal experiences, and procedures (skills and habits).
# Memories are constructions made within accordance with present requests, desires, influences, etc.
# Memories are often accompany by feelings and emotion.
# Memory usually involves awareness of the memory
There is a great deal of supportive evidence for the claim that the more traumatic an experience, the more expected one is to remember it. Novel visual imagery, which would frequently accompany traumas, stimulate the hippocampus and not here inferior prefrontal cortex and generally become section of long-term memory.

It is the CPU that perform the laborious tasks, the memory acts as storage for uncompleted tasks and other relevant information needed to accomplish those tasks.
