I'm within Canada here, and for a desktop computer, $800 will get you a moral equipped system with a CDRW/DVDR (or DVDRW within some cases) combo drive, 512MB RAM, a HD between 40-120GB (it varies greatly) and a 64-128MB Videocard. The monitor may or may not be extra, but if you already enjoy a computer, the monitor from it should work fine.
I really have no theory....But i don't see any reason that it should be hugely more than surrounded by the US. For a decent computer here, we settle...probably 700-800 dollars, for a desktop with no monitor. (there is commonly a monitor "discount" or "deal" however. There are computers far cheaper than that, but in writ to play many games, you are going to requirement a decent processor (3 ghz or so) and a nice bit of Ram (1 see is plenty usually) and a video card may be desirable, as more games are using 3d graphics that need the boosted power.
I suggested and lone because they are easy to access, is Futureshop, primarily they will setup with a full section, monitor, CPU, printer and the rest.

But don't get suckered into the gift plan, my sisters $699.00 with financing cost her over $1000 surrounded by the end, put it on your visa/mastercard. That agency you can pay for it over a little years, and it is not going to tax you, they charge 18-20% interest, basically one word of caution I digit most people should know, and if you do this also beware, some of in attendance warranty options.

Just do not draw from talked into something you don't requirement, most citys have smaller palces that provide off-lease computer tobut the speed and other things can be a bit of an issue.
