These capacitors lose their electrical charge, so they need to be rejuvenated every millisecond, during which time they cannot be read by the processor. DRAM chips are small, simple, cheap, easy to brand name, and hold approximately four times as much information as a static RAM (SRAM) chip of similar complexity.

It is also more expensive.
Static volatile access memory (SRAM) is a type of semiconductor memory. The word "static" indicates that the memory retains its contents as long as power remains applied, unlike dynamic RAM (DRAM) that needs to be periodically recharged.
If I recalled correctly Dynamic RAM stores memory intervening. By temporary I imply once the computer is rebooted the content of the memory is gone. Static RAM store memory more permanently than DRAM. Usually DRAM are what you purchase to speed up or put in memory to ur computer to improve behaviour because thats what the machine uses as its cut into pad. SRAM are used as cache, and other functions that inevitability to store data until it is overwritten or the internal power it have could no longer sustain retaining the memory.
