The moment Vista launch, you have ten years not here before Microsoft stops supporting XP.

Vista is for power users, and, if you're an average guy that a short time ago types in documents and you in recent times look at pictures or listen to a little music, later XP is fine.



The thing that make Vista so unique, is that it's written from the ground up. XP be based stale 2000, and thus, carried all it's bugs as powerfully. But Vista was written from score, and the Aero interface makes things awesome...
Vista will be the XP replacement. Lots of superior security and faster OS. If you're an average user, XP is fine. Keep within mind though that as the Vista bugs get resolved, support for XP will diminish and you will be forced to upgrade to Vista.
