DDR=double facts rate ... ddr2 is the latest memory ...its the fastest near the most bandwidth .. the motherboard must support it to use it.
DDR is a dancing video hobby. Dance Dance Revolution. Usually you have a peak and a footpad and you do your best to step on all the arrows that appear on the peak in writ to win.
Alot depends on the age of your computer and the capabilitys of the Motherboard, check to see at the makers site which is one they recommend and waht the benefits are, one have only to know the DDR2 is newer and some comes double sided, but more than that near the new dual waterway systems some runs better and faster depending the motherboard specifics.



THe best thing I can vote as an MCSE and A+ tech is to make sure it is the right entity, prices aredropping but still don't try and overclock memory it never works to your advantage.

AND DDR2 I S NEW VERSION OF RAM WHICH SUITS WITH NEW MOTHEWR BOARDS...D101,102 INTEL 945,965,975...



THEY BOTH ARE DIFF U CANT REPLACE A DDR RAM WITH DDR2 RAM IT WILL NOT FIT INT THE MOTHER BOARD ITSELF..AND VICE VERSA FOR DDR2 RAM IN DDR RAM PLACE............
